Dr. Lam graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1983. She completed her training in internal medicine and attained the Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 1988 and membership of the Royal College of Physicians in UK (MRCP) in 1989. She did her advanced training in infectious diseases in Singapore as well as in the U.S. Dr Lam spent 2 years as a clinical and research postdoctoral fellow in infectious diseases at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

 

She is an infectious diseases specialist accredited by the Ministry of Health, the Singapore Medical Council and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

Dr Lam was previously Head, Travellers' Health & Vaccination Centre, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Besides her private practice, she is also a visiting consultant in infectious diseases at Singapore General Hospital.
